NFTS launches diploma in Graphics and Titles for Film and TV

The National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, UK has launched a 12-month course in Graphics and Titles for Film and TV. Graphic designer Hugo Hansell will head up the diploma, teaching skills that apply specifically to the television and film industries.

Hugo has worked on brand identities for BBFC (British Board of Film Classification), Cornerstone Films, Bankside Films, Protagonist Pictures and WFTV (Women in Film and Television), as well as posters and ads for BFI, BBC Films, Film4, Artificial Eye and Pathé.

The curriculum combines graphic design for entertainment, sports, natural history and science TV shows with industry work experience. The course is run in partnership with Sky, which offers a work placement to students. It is the third NTFS course to partner with the broadcaster.

Applications are open until 13 October and the course commences January 2017.
