Applications open for Tate's £100,000 IK digital arts awards
Applications have opened for the Tate’s IK Prize, which awards over £100,000 to the winning digital submissions. The prize is awarded each year for projects that use digital technology to further explorations of the Tate’s art collection, and previous winners have included last year’s Sensorium, where viewers could taste, touch and hear pieces of art.
The 2016 prize theme is Artificial Intelligence, and Tate says is looks for works that “demonstrate originality and ingenuity in the application of artificial intelligence to the task of engaging the public with British art on display at Tate Britain and on the Tate website.”
The winning individual, team or company receives a £15,000 prize plus a further £90,000 to realise their idea. For more information and to enter visit the IK Prize entrants page.
