The US Soccer Federation today showcased the new crest that will adorn the nation’s football shirts and a new typeface called 90 Minutes designed by Tal Leming to work alongside it. The new crest, designed over a period of two years in collaboration with Nike, uses the red, white and blue of the American flag and replaces the existing emblem that was introduced in 1995.

To launch the logo US Soccer mailed 10,000 packages to members, current and former National Team players, and friends of the Federation that included a customised Google Cardboard, a virtual reality 360-degree video that takes fans inside the US Men’s and Women’s National Teams and a scarf. The video features narration from US Soccer legendary players, along with current and future stars: Abby Wambach, Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Carli Lloyd and Jordan Morris.
