At the start of 2013, It’s Nice That joined forces with Represent Recruitment in a bid to try and find out what makes the perfect creative environment. The Ideal Studio was the follow-up to Represent’s popular Ideal Candidate project of 2012, although this time the tables were turned.
We spoke to 20 different people including design studios and creative agencies of all shapes and sizes, management experts, freelancers, recent graduates and studio managers to try and work what factors – physical, environmental and organisational – contribute to a happy and productive creative work place. The results were published as a series of interviews on the dedicated Ideal Studio site, with weekly round-ups on It’s Nice That.
The Ideal Studio featured A Practice for Everyday Life, Bruce Usher, Chambers Judd, Eugene Hughes, Grace Helmer, Graphic Thought Facility, The Greater London Authority, innocent, Jump Studios, Kin, Lundgren + Lindqvist, Mother London, Moving Brands, Pentagram, Rob Peart, Ryan Ras, ustwo, With Associates, Wolff Olins and Yarra Jones.
