Stuart Griffiths was a paratrooper, then was homeless, then became a press photographer and now documents the lives of ex-servicemen in the UK. Stuart and I have worked on a number of longform features for GQ, and his work is vital, unflinching and affecting. Stuart was also the subject of a short film, Isolation, looking at homelessness among ex-servicemen and women. The wars in Iraq and Afhganistan get a lot of attention, but Stuart documents what happens after soldiers return to civvy street.
