Anyone capable of making a can of beer out of modelling clay is a friend of ours so meet Alexandra Bruel
Just like we appreciate someone who cooks a jacket potato in the actual oven for a few hours rather than resorting to a microwave, we’re equally smitten with someone who sticks to the old days in their choice of artistic medium. Alexandra Bruel is a little bit of a whizz with modelling clay which, although scoffed at in the art room at school, is now totally nostalgic and cool. It’s squishy and it’s brightly coloured, does anyone sincerely have a problem with that? Thought not. The list of huge corporations lining up to get her to recreate their products in modelling clay is growing at an alarming rate, and that’s not surprising – I’d like to see you make a can of Stella out of modelling clay with such finesse.
