Be gone all ye pretenders – Carl Kleiner proves once again why he's still the top man

Sometimes when a creative is so good at what they do, and is aped so much by their contemporaries, it’s difficult to keep in mind just how seminal their work was. But Carl Kleiner makes it easy by coming along with projects like this that prove why he’s still at the top of his game. This series of images for the lighting company FLOS has many of his hallmarks – crisp, bold colours and careful composition – within the context of abstract, sometimes disorientating set-ups. What Carl’s brilliant at is turning brand’s messages into tangible and communicative, if indirect, visual offerings that sate so many of our aesthetic cravings.
