ECAL Graphic Design celebrated in gorgeous new book

It would be more newsworthy if work from ECAL wasn’t brilliant, but here we go anyway, celebrating yet more superb work to emerge from the institution, also known as University of Art & Design Lausanne.

The university is currently showing its ECAL Graphic Design exhibition, and to mark the show it has published a book of the same name with JRP|Ringier. The publication celebrates the work of students from the last five years in its Graphic Design Bachelor and Art Direction Master courses.

It all looks as gorgeous as you’d expect, marrying carefully constructed graphic design with playful and innovative art direction.

ECAL says: “Edited by the Gavillet & Cie studio, the book revolves around a long succession of tracking shots in which projects are not classified in categories, but organised by colour. The exhibition design orchestrated by Adrien Rovero is based on the same concept, allowing a total flexibility.”
