Incredible stuff! Welcome to Jun Oson's surreal, retro-styled manga

Date
1 November 2012

Looking through Jun Oson’s portfolio is a lot like stuffing your face with a multipack of Haribo – sickly sweet, loaded with unnatural colours and flavours, but really, incredibly good. The Japanese illustrator has carved out his niche creating vast surreal landscapes, manic comic books and the occasional cheeky nude, drawing from influences as diverse as Japanese B-movies, American screen-printed posters and good old-fashioned erotica. It doesn’t have any nutritional value at all, but man do we love it!
