Raqib Shaw

Raqib Shaw creates amazing images full of colour and detail.  I’ve only ever seen them on screen and would leap at a chance to see them in real life. Sharing the surreal creativity of Hieronymous Bosch, Raqib’s images astound and draw the viewer in providing a vibrant experience. His unique process invloves the use of metallic industrial paints manipulated at the finest detail using pins/needles to work the paint – despite the minute tools the pieces are large scale with his largest piece 7m wide. The details are outlined in gold leaf providing an explosive visual experience.
