Semi-erotic, yogic and peculiar Animal Collective video by Brooklyn collective PFFR

Date
15 January 2016

Bonkers New York art and music collective PFFR has created the video for Animal Collective’s new single FloriDada, weaving together a strange and fluoro-coloured world of human-like forms, foetuses and kaleidoscopic patterns. PFFR Forever Ltd., to use its full name, is based in Brooklyn and works across production, art and electronic music; and their oddball approach perfectly matches Animal Collective’s sonic and visual aesthetic.

The video, rightfully marked as “identified to potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy,” is packed from start to finish with flashes of colour as we see two figures veer from erotic encounters to pregnancy and yogic movements. FloriDada is the first single to be released from Animal Collective’s album Painting With, to be released on 19 February on Domino.
