Rumours of a Beyoncé and Jay-Z tour at the Louvre have flooded the internet over the last few weeks, and have now been confirmed by the museum’s website.

The couple’s Apesh*t video featured 17 paintings and sculptures in the six-minute clip – from the monumental Greek marble The Winged Victory of Samothrace to Marie-Guillemine Benoist’s Portrait of a Black Woman. Another memorable scene shows Beyoncé and a line-up of dancers holding hands and winding in sync in front of the giant neoclassical painting The Coronation of Napoleon whilst later on, Jay can be seen in front of the Louvre’s iconic glass pyramids.

The museum have also launched a Jay-Z and Beyoncé at the Louvre thematic visitor trail – a tour of the 17 art works featured, with detailed guides to the each of the works, lasting about an hour and a half.

The Louvre’s director Jean-Luc Martinez has said that he wants to make the museum’s vast collection “more readable” for a wider, more global audience. It’s not the first time a tour in this vein has been offered; following a Louvre-themed documentary produced by artist will.i.am in 2016, the museum introduced a will.i.am at the Louvre self-guided tour for visitors to enjoy, featuring some of the most opulent rooms in the collection, including Marie Antoinette’s salon.

Tickets for the tour are available to buy now.
