Buy an exclusive Kyle Platts print to celebrate Review of the Year 2017!

This Thursday we’re kicking off our Review of the Year 2017 celebrations by selling a specially commissioned print by London-based illustrator Kyle Platts, who has interpreted the word ‘Nice’ in a limited print run.

We’re also throwing a party at theprintspace in London this Thursday 14 December from 7.30pm. theprintspace has kindly printed the colourful 30cm x 40cm poster and you’ll be able buy one for just £25 at the event.

For the print, Kyle was given a brief by the It’s Nice That creative team to create an illustrated print that typifies his offbeat and colourful style.

“I’ve sort of been a ‘crowd scene’ guy for a while now, over the past few years I’ve illustrated many double page spreads about festivals, parks or basically anywhere you would find lots of people existing in the same place at the same time,” says the illustrator of his inspiration. “I enjoy the challenge of creating a busy image of objects, animals, humans, and somehow trying to make the collective mess greater than the sum of its parts.” In the poster we see a collection of cool dudes chilling out, reading books and looking through telescopes as an easygoing sun sets in the distance and miniature animals and bug-eyed flowers prance in the pinkish desert.
