Winner of the NYC ‘I Voted’ sticker competition announced

The winner of the NYC ‘I Voted’ sticker design competition has been awarded to Marie Dagarta, 59, and Scott Heinz, 56, from Bronxville, New York.

Their design, which won by a public vote, displays the subway system joining Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island and Brooklyn. Its design displays how “all the people of the boroughs meet together, pass each other, need each other in the subway and the voting booth,” the pair explain.

The competition was run by the New York City Campaign Finance Board, and the stickers will be distributed at poll sites on 12 September 2017 for the primary election for mayor, city council, public advocate and comptroller. “I Voted stickers are one of the best ways for New Yorkers to show that they care about the future of our city,” says the finance board.
