Sascha Lobe joins Pentagram’s London office as partner

Celebrated designer Sascha Lobe is joining Pentagram’s London office as a partner. The german graphic designer, moves from L2M3 Communication Design and also works across architecture. Lobe has received over 100 international awards, including the Type Directors Club New York, Red Dot Design Award and European Design Award.

Specialising in spatial linguistics and three-dimensional communication, Lobe has worked with globally renowned companies like Adidas and Hugo Boss, and designed projects for cultural institutions including Kunstmuseum Stuttgart and Württembergischer Kunstverein. Lobe was also the mind behind Bauhaus-Archiv Museum’s popular new identity. The designer is currently spending his time on a number of signage projects for Bibliothèque nationale de Luxembourg and Kunsthaus Zürich, and is creating bespoke typefaces for art concept store and magazine, Qompendium, and also acts as a professor of Typography at the Offenbach University of Art and Design.

It is extremely exciting to have a partner that creates such innovative and beautiful work.”

Lobe will be Pentagram’s 11th partner based in London, and follows the appointment of Jon Marshall in April, co-founder at industrial design consultancy Map. They sit alongside London partners Marina Willer, Angus Hyland, Naresh Ramchandani, Luke Powell and Jody Hudson-Powell, Domenic Lippa, Harry Pearce, John Rushworth and Daniel Weil.
