Yuk Fun, an independent label making illustrated apparel and products, are running a campaign to support Stop Asian Hate charities. Lucy Cheung and Patrick Gildersleeves run the label out of Portslade-by-Sea, and teamed up with 15 illustrators to raise awareness of anti-Asian hate crimes that have been occurring since the start of the pandemic.

The campaign kicked off with a raffle, with donators in with a chance of winning products designed by the East Asian and South East Asian artists. The team has achieved 76 per cent of its £8000 goal and is looking for more people to donate to the campaign, which is raising funds for charities supporting the Asian community in the UK and Myanmar. These include End the Virus of Racism, the London Chinese Community CentreKanlungan (Empowering Filipino Migrants), Centre 151 (supporting the Vietnamese, Laotian & Cambodian community in London) and Zigway (providing food support to families in Myanmar during the current political instability). “And hopefully more if we raise enough money,” says the duo.

You can donate via Yuk Fun’s ko-fi page, and check out more of the studio’s work on its website.
