Double Take is a collaboration between It’s Nice That and Coal Drops Yard, which invites you to see one of London’s most compelling spaces anew. We will be taking over the site for six weeks with an installation that is all about exploration and invention, inspiring visitors to immerse themselves in the unexpected. It’s Nice That has designed five playful sculptures with spatial designers Isabel + Helen and planted them around the stunning Coal Drops Yard site, which was designed by Heatherwick Studio. Come down and meet these colourful characters for yourself, between 3 October and 6 November.
There’s just one week left to go and see Double Take, It’s Nice That’s sculptural takeover at Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross. Made with spatial designers Isabel + Helen, the five-strong gang of giant colourful characters have been created to cleverly nestle among the contours of Heatherwick’s architecture. Wander round the shops and restaurants and you’ll suddenly feel surrounded by big friendly faces… belonging to one of the sculptures, which – due to their slim profiles – only manifest themselves when viewed from a certain angle, making you stop and look again.
