Perennial It’s Nice That favourite Jordy van den Nieuwendijk is an illustrator and artist from The Hague in The Netherlands, working with clients including The New York Times, Vogue and Bloomberg Businessweek. As our opening speaker at Here 2015, he discussed how his work evolved from being about drawing to impress girls at school to his current practice.
The past few years have seen a dizzying rise for the artist and illustrator. In an astonishingly short space of time he’s emerged as one of the most exciting, prolific practitioners working today, clocking up a client list which includes the likes of The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, Lacoste and Vogue.
Although consistently embracing a bright colour palette, his practice evolves almost as quickly as he can discover new media, and his name has become synonymous with the dynamic, graphic, happy work that he loves to make and we love to see.
