Will Hudson Director and Editor
Will founded It’s Nice That while studying Graphic Design at The University of Brighton. Initially hailing from the Birmingham, he moved to London after studying to work at a graphic design studio, honing his skills in print and web before founding studio HudsonBec with Alex. As HudsonBec ran its course, It’s Nice That became the main outlet for his work where he continues to design and art direct as well as write on the blog every day.
Alex Bec Director and Editor
Alex joined as co-director and editor of It’s Nice That towards the end of 2008. Having built up a good working relationship with Will while working on their self initated project If You Could in Brighton, he moved to London to work at Peepshow Collective, sharpening his project management and direction skills. On leaving Peepshow and setting up HudsonBec, it felt like a natural step for the two to also join forces on It’s Nice That, creating a more succinct studio environment and adding their individual skills.
Alex Moshakis Designer and Contributor
Having joined It’s Nice That full-time in May 2010, Alex is not only a talented designer, but also an able wordsmith. He graduated from Nottingham Trent University and followed his studies with stints working at respected London design studios Wire, Browns and Praline, as well as brushing up on his written work. He was welcomed into the studio to work on design projects and contribute to our editorial with his own, distinct voice.
James Gilpin Development Director
James joined the It’s Nice That studio in the summer of 2010, fresh from picking up his masters degree in Design Interactions at the Royal College of Art. While also holding a degree in Interaction design from LCC, he is a designer and researcher by trade, armed with a unique desire to nurture relationships and opportunities with a new audience and keep It’s Nice That moving in the right direction.
Bryony Quinn Editorial Assistant and Contributor
Bryony interned for a couple of days a week at It’s Nice That between January and September 2009, while in her second year studying illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. An absolute asset to the studio, she flew the nest to concentrate on her final year studying, and we were pleased to welcome her back in the summer of 2010. She helps manage the studio and regularly adds to her fantastic body of posts that draw on her comprehensive knowledge of (among other things) film and vintage illustration.
Aside from the permanent studio members, you may also see articles on the site written by other people who aren’t necessarily part of our guest post feature.
Jez Burrows Regular Contributor
Jez is an Edinburgh based design/illustrator who has been writing for It’s Nice That from the very beginning and was responsible for programming the very first version. Jez graduated from the same graphic design course as Will and Alex, just a year later, in 2008 and has built himself a portfolio of real quality in not that long at all. An undoubtedly talented pensmith, his copy never fails to bring a smile – watch out for inevitably more writing to come.
