Pétur Thomsen has a keen eye for the collapse of natural environment. Imported Landscape (in fact, all of his work) offers some kind of haunting reflection on man’s erosive affect on his home country of Iceland. Is a photograph beautiful if it’s documenting the destruction of beauty? Alas, Thomsen’s contradiction.
