Nick Fraser: Pipework Series

Hardware shops definitely have a certain appeal – there’s something about those shiny bolts and fittings ordered into lots of plastic tubs. I wonder if that’s where Nick Fraser got the inspiration for his pipework series… He’s playfully transformed powder-coated copper piping with shiny brass compression fittings into unexpected objects: umbrella stands, coat hooks, candelabras. We think he’s hit the nail on the head (sorry) with this minimalist-industrial aesthetic combination for everyday objects.
