Andy Rementer has released a new stamp collection for San Marino based on the theme of online dating. The Amore Tecnologico series features couples taking selfies, checking their phones and chatting online, with hand-drawn type elements.

This is Andy’s second stamp collection for San Marino’s Philatelic and Numismatic Bureau (AASFM), following his series based on 3D printing — a project which won him a D&AD Pencil last year. The bureau approached Andy this time with the open brief of tackling online dating. These designs are much more pared back using block colours and a stronger focus on the characters and their interaction with technology.

“I tend to use bold colour and simple shapes in my work, qualities that lend themselves to the tiny reproduction of a stamp,” Andy says. “There’s a playful quality in the stickers that echoes the flirtatiousness of the characters seen throughout the stamps.”

The series includes three stamps and six envelope seal stickers, and can be bought here.
