Alles Gut's playful designs for Laurent Garnier

We’ve long been fans of Lyon-based studio Alles Gut: so much so that we popped their wonderful work for the Transbordeur parties on a postcard for our 2014 It’s Nice That annual. Having not featured their work on the site since then, there’s a bunch of new work that’s very much worth celebrating, including these ace sleeve designs for Laurent Garnier.

Released in 2016, Alles Gut was responsible for the art direction and graphic design for the French electronic musician’s F Communication box set 1000-copy limited-edition. Each record in the set is encased in a sleeve of a different colour, with a graphic illustration that feels crisp yet cartoonish. These playful snippets are offset by crisp type and zine-like monochrome sleeve notes that provide an innovative approach to identity design for dance music. What’s more, the record itself boasts the same colour as its packaging, making it something of a collector’s dream.
