Build's identity for Studio Aves is inspired by famous British birds

Here at It’s Nice That we’re very aware of how often we cover certain creatives on the site, and we constantly make time to search out talented practitioners we don’t know as well as feting the latest work of those we do.

The flip side of this is that if an individual or studio is going through a particular purple patch, we’d be stupid to ignore their work. Consistently smashing projects out the park shouldn’t be punished.

With that in mind, step forward Build. Just a few weeks ago we featured their identity for the TypeCon conference and hot on the heels of that post Michael Place emailed over this terrific work for Studio Aves. Because the studio is named after the Latin word for birds, Build created a colour-based look and feel inspired by some iconic British birds such as the kingfisher, robin, magpie, blue tit and woodpecker.

It’s simple, it’s interesting and it works holistically across various collateral. Take a bow team Build, you’ve done it again.
