Claudia Imbert: La Famille Incertaine

Date

Last week the Gens d’Image Association chose the latest winner of the Prix Arcimboldo, an award recognizing new creativity in digital photography and digital manipulation. Claudia Imbert snapped it up for her compelling series La Famille Incertaine (The Uncertain Family), and in our eyes it’s well deserved. Imbert’s stunning project is a celebration of the post production process for what it is – not a mode of trickery but an artform in itself, and a means to make an image all the more powerful for its fiction.
