Odd character designs and snogging: we’re still digging the work of Dale Crosby-Close

Date
1 July 2016

Dale Crosby-Close first won us over in the heady days of 2014 when he wooed us with a ginormous comic book. Since then he’s not strayed too far from his signature weird tiny-headed characters, and for that we’re very grateful. His simple line work and colours are a total joy and manage to be supremely odd, but not self-consciously so – a rare treat indeed. Among his new works is a great series about fighting, offset by a more romantic exploration in the form of a series entitled Kiss your mates and Les Dennis too. Dale graduated from Kingston two years ago, and his knack for peculiar figurative creations is going from strength to strength. Don’t go changin’, Dale!
