Crisp drawing and brilliant patterns in Edward Monaghan’s illustrations

Date
3 November 2015

We first featured Edward Monaghan as one of our 2013 Graduates. Then, he had just finished up at Central Saint Martins where he had “spent the year with his head in the sand… in an attempt to produce some honest work.” Spring forward a couple of years and Edward is making bright, block colour drawings of plant life, stone-cast heads, expressive ear faces and some brilliant pattern work. Having been commissioned by the likes of The Guardian, The Sunday Times Magazine and our very own Printed Pages, Edward has also kept up an enviable pace in his personal work, with his drawings and compositions going from strength to strength.
