Foreign Policy’s dynamic identity for its inter-city design exchange

We were lucky enough to meet some of the team from Singapore studio Foreign Policy when they popped into It’s Nice That HQ during a recent research trip to London. The same friendly, curious and open-minded approach that led them to drop us a line has also seen them develop The Swap Show, “an exhibition exchange between design studios and creative agencies from cities around the world designed to showcase and celebrate creative work internationally.”

The first iteration saw Foreign Policy and three of its Singaporean neighbours – Roots, Bureau and Anonymous – collaborate with four of Barcelona’s finest – Hey Studio, Mucho, Lo Siento and Two Points. It’s an ambitious exercise that “stretches beyond material exchanges” and included Skype Q&A sessions as well as the exhibition itself. The identity Foreign Policy created for the show was designed to reflect this sense of two-way interaction and so it has various permutations to reflect the exciting sense of constant dynamism.
