Four&Sons make maifest their love for all things doggy and creative
As an organisation who went from an online offering to producing aprinted publication, we are very conscious of the challenges and the sheer giddy excitement it entails. So we were delighted to receive a copy of the inaugural Four&Sons newspaper, making manifest their exploration of the space where “dogs and culture” collide. Content wise there’s a great selection of projects ranging from stuff we’ve seen before like Martin Usborne’s The Silence of Dogs in Cars series and meme sensation Maddie on Things to a whole host of canine-inspired creativity of which we were sadly unaware. I particularly enjoyed Leo Cox’s heart wrenching The Day The Dog Died piece and Carlos Sanva’s Hang Tough, a reflection of how we pass on our own insecurities to dogs like pit bulls. Studiomatador have done a fine job with the design too and the publication feels vibrant but not cluttered. If I had a tail, it’s be wagging right now…
