Franck Bohbot: Theater

Posted by Bryony Quinn,

We’re feeling very cinematic what with the London Film Festival visiting our finest picture houses, filling them with critics-for-a-day and reminding us of the immersive joy of a real cinema experience. In the spirit of things, we think there is something specifically set-like about a vast public space devoid of its usual inhabitants, especially in a theatre where there is both expectation and personal scope for our minds to fill the gaps with drama. Franck Bohbot’s very careful, almost painterly, photographs are studies of spaces with such purpose and so much imaginative potential.
