Kim Gehrig: Beat 2012

Posted by Liv Siddall,

Mark Ronson is not one to shy away from interesting music projects, and this looks like his biggest to date. After spending months with Olympic sports men and women from across the board and sound-recording their every hop, skip and jump, Ronson has collected enough sound to use as ingredients for some exciting, Olympic tunes. Doubtful? NME have given it a fair stamp of approval, citing its ‘distinct lack of cringey, sports metaphors.’ Here is the trailer for Beat 2012 – a film documenting his journey, directed by the ever-wonderful Kim Gehrig.
