Italian art mag Mousse continues to wow with its 50th issue

The Milan-based art magazine Mousse has gained quite a following since launching in 2006. It’s managed to produced an astonishing 50 issues, which is something of a feat given the pace of print these days. Rarer still is that it continues to wow with every issue. With an international team of editors based in Berlin, New York, London, Paris and Los Angeles, the bilingual publication is able to keep its finger on the pulse of the contemporary art world, and publishes interviews, articles and essays by pivotal figures.

Mousse is art directed by Francesco Valtolina, who designs the magazine as part of a team of five with Marco Fasolini, Fausto Giliberti, Matteo Gualandris, and Massimiliano Pace. Its 50th issue offers pearls of wisdom including, but not limited to, an essay on how to become a famous artist, a piece by Hans Ulrich Obrist and Suzanne Cotter on art and geometry, and a feature looking at the strange materiality of digital forms.
