Number 04 designs bare-bones identity and exhibition for a pop-up

Date

Number 04 is a four-piece design studio working out of Utah that first caught our eye earlier this year. With a knack for clean-cut, simple design, its projects often encompass print, digital and spatial elements. An excellent example of this is the monochrome identity, website and exhibition space for a pop-up shop and exhibition in Salt Lake City, matter-of-factly called Mall.

Exploring new formats in graphic design, fashion, publishing, music and food, the pop-up held its second event at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art in August. That was only the second in a series of projects, and as it develops, Mall’s identity has stayed consistent, underpinned by Number 04’s holistic approach, which includes neon signage, slick web design and pared-back publications and posters.
