Paper-Cut-Project

Posted by Charlotte Simmonds,

Atlanta-based duo Amy Flurry and Nikki Salk want to re-invent our relationship with paper. An “appreciation of the grace and nuance of this humble material” drives the aesthetic of their cranial sculptures, and the results are truly a celebration of the medium. Their hand-made wigs are in hot demand in the world of high fashion, and how could they not be? The collection for Kate Spade glistens like the lacquered shell of a beetle, while works for Cartier and Italian Vogue rise with gravity defying articulateness. And with a beautiful website to boot, well, I’m sold.
