Romain André

Date
27 September 2011

This is an eye-catching image on its own terms from recent Central St Martins graduate Romain André, but when you look a little closer you realise the whole thing is fashioned from images of kebabs, shaped into a traditional Arabic pattern to lampoon clumsy western ideas of their culture. It’s worth a whizz through the rest of his portfolio too, with some interesting projects which combine interesting concepts and artistic skill. Romain has recently moved to Chicago and it will be interesting to see how his work develops state-side.
