Ahoy there readers! Check out this unusual take on the holiday diary. Two graphic designers set out from their home in Mainz, Germany on an expedition to three international cities – Moscow, Stockholm and Frankfurt. Once back they set about producing three magazines that utilised type, shape, images and interviews to summarise each metropolis. It’s an experimental format that’s simultaneously informative and open-ended, graphic playfulness across empty pages with entertaining dialogue spaced throughout. This is no Lonely Planet Guide, but Ahoj more than succeeds in spelling out a city in an unexpected and visually stimulating way.
