Shun Sasaki’s designs burst with colour and kawaii appeal

Put aside the language barrier — Japanese designer Shun Sasaki’s work is so kawaii it doesn’t matter that I can’t understand a single word on his Twitter account.

We first wrote about the designer’s vivid colour combinations back in 2014. Since then, Shun has been busy developing his signature colour-clashing designs which mix typography and illustration.

Executed across many, many posters, Shun’s work has a pleasingly consistency to it, while the designer’s fun-loving style remains a pertinent example of Japan’s ever-evolving, highly-varied contemporary design scene. We only wish we could read Japanese…
