Sophie Alda

Sophie Alda’s world is populated by grotesque characters running amok in suburbia, outer-space and, rather alarmingly, in each other’s stomachs. It’s hard to discern exactly what’s going on within the pages of her portfolio but there’s something strangely charming about her gouache figures and their phallic noses. Definitely worth a look if you like your illustration with a healthy dose of the absurd.
