Austrian design studio es describes itself as a “dynamic agency.” With work across advertising, web design, typography and editorial, its experimental approach to its own arts and culture publication is representative of the Vienna-based designers’ multidisciplinary range. It’s unusual to see a publication both edited and designed by the same hands, and with eclectic type choices, and layouts that are both fresh and familiar, A priori’s design perfectly complements its far-reaching and varied content. Collated and edited with friends at Ana Berlin Communications, the studio describes the magazine as “a platform for conversation where some of our best projects, our talented friends and articles that we always wanted to read and write convene.”
