Photography: Ugne Henriko mimics photographs of her Mother 37 years ago

Date

“All of the images on the left side are my mother’s, taken approximately in 1975 and images on the right side are photographs of me taken 37 years later.” Writes Ugne Henriko of her brilliant photography project, Mother and Daughter. Realising that she bore more than similar features to her mother at her age, photographer Ugne decided to make a photography project out of it, and what a project! It’s beautifully shot and an emotional knee-buckler, whilst also proving that sometimes for a great photography project it’s not just about shooting cool people in exotic locations, things can be much more simple than that, and closer to home than you may first expect.
