It’s Nice That #5

March 2011

Although they evolved over time, the first six issues of the It’s Nice That magazine combined snapshots of exciting creatives we had previously championed on the site with interviews and features which allowed us to dig a little deeper into some of the biggest talents working today.

The work section of Issue Five featured Ann Toebbe, Claire Morgan, Dane Lovett, FriendsWithYou, Harmen de Hoop, Hisham Akira Bharoocha, Jon Rafman, Josef Schulz, Joseph L Griffiths, Julien Berthier, Luis Dourado, Martin Usborne, Olek, Peter Garfield, Richard Barnes, Sarah Illenberger, Stefan Glerum and Wynne Veen.

There were interviews with artist Rob Ryan, master of surreal silliness Erwin Wurm, photographer Isabella Rozendaal, artist and illustrator Wilford Barrington and Matt Pyke, doyen of digital designers. Adrian Shaughnessy looked at design as art through the prism of Scott King, sculptor Tony Hawyard showed us his collection of Indian rat traps, we delved into Trevor Jackson’s record collection, profiled photographer John Divola and got a glimpse into Letman’s typographic talents.
