Design studio Building Paris creates type specimen book for a Paris-based type foundry

Art direction and graphic design studio Building Paris has designed a type specimen book for type foundry Production Type. The typeface, called Trianon, was designed as a functional face, primarily for editorial publishing by Loic Sander.

Both Paris based, Production Type asked Building Paris to create the book as a way of showcasing the font. The studio has designed an A5 monochrome booklet that displays typeface in glossy glory. Within the booklet are texts on the typeface Didot which inspired Trianon as well as a fashion shoot of scarves with the font printed on them and pages featuring single symbols. A consistently executed project, it’s a neat way to give some editorial context for a typeface created for use in printed materials.
