More salaciously surreal illustrations from French duo Mrzyk & Moriceau

Date
3 February 2016

Illustration duo Mrzyk & Moriceau (AKA Petra Mrzyk and Jean-François Moriceau) are back with more bizarre naughtiness using their signature monochromatic palette. We featured the French collaborators last summer for their unusual configurations of body parts but their Tumblr has since exploded with a load of new, risqué drawings including a brazen iPhone, a crowd of farting girls and a pair of amorous spuds.

Despite the rudeness, this latest slew of work also sees Mrzyk & Moriceau taking things beyond the boobs and willies, with clever metaphors, visual gags and even a TinTin reference adding a touch of sophistication to the duo’s work. Simply executed using pared back line work and little colour, the work could be likened to illustrators like Laurène Boglio, but this commitment to minimalism shows an admirable confidence in the pair’s ideas.
