The Lovie Awards 2016 announces call for entries

Date
16 March 2016

The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences has announced a call for entries to the 2016 Lovie Awards. Like it’s sister awards, the Webbys, the awards seek to honour the full breadth of the internet across Europe – with categories covering websites, online advertising, internet video, mobile and apps and social.

This year features a group of new Lovie Award categories, including a new branded entertainment suite, virtual reality (in general video & branded entertainment), health & fitness (in mobile & applications), humour (in social) and brand strategy (in online advertising campaigns), and more. Judges this year include actor Stephen Fry, musician Imogen Heap, Dan Howell (danisnotonfire), Chester Chipperfield (Special Projects, Apple), Jane Gorley (Creative Director, Style.com), Mel Exon (Managing Director, BBH London), and Corinne Vigreux (Co-Founder, TomTom).

The Lovie Awards was created in 2011 to specifically honour the outstanding online work made for the European audience, taking into account local market differences. To do so, work is accepted and judged in seven native languages: Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish.

The Early Entry Deadline is 15 April 2016. Please visit lovieawards.eu for a full list of categories and judges for The 6th Annual Lovie Awards, and enter by the early entry deadline of 15 April 2016 for preferred pricing. Finalists are announced in September 2016, and winners in October 2016 with a celebration in November 2016 in London.
