Great piece with Miranda July in this month’s Interview Magazine about her work Eleven Heavy Things at the Venice Biennale. A collaboration with people visiting the show the work was only completed when photographs were taken of various poses on and around the sculptures. Many featured accompanying text like, “What I look like when I really mean it”, “What I look like when I’m lying” or “We don’t know each other. We’re just hugging for the picture. When we’re done I’ll walk away quickly. It’s almost over”.
