An adaptation of a Dr Seuss story by Bill Scott and Phil Eastman (the gentleman responsible for one of my favourite books as a young’un, The Best Nest), Gerald McBoing-Boing is a lovely animated short from 1950 that seems to be regarded as something of a touchstone by the animation community. If you’re as new to it as I was, I think you’ll see why. Perfect.
