Kati Forner crafts a beautiful lookbook for We Are The Rhoads

LA-based designer Kati Forner has collaborated with photographers and directors Chris and Sarah Rhoads, AKA We Are The Rhoads, to create a promotional book cataloguing its work from the past 12 months. The self-enclosed booklet has a Japanese-style string binding that is intended to compliment the organic stylings of We Are The Rhoads’ work. Inside, images from projects for the likes of Vogue Paris, Timex and Kendall Jenner are printed on deep green and peach paper stock, with tip-ins marking where sections begin and end. Split images and overlays give each page a different feel and provide a sense of the unexpected throughout.

The whole publication gives a great account of the work without being pushy. The sun-kissed images from each campaign are beautifully set out and arranged in a way that provides a leisurely pace where the pictures do the talking. From the subtle embossing on the cover to the joyous image concealed in the back cover gatefold the publication is a considered and playful account of We Are The Rhoads’ work.
