Richard McGuire is an illustrator and comics artist whose work was picked up by Art Spiegelman for his radical magazine Raw in the late 1980s, and has since appeared in The New Yorker and McSweeney’s. His highly original and oblique take on time and space (and other things) has also been lent to animation, and is especially excellent in his short for the Peur(s) du Noir film. It’s an absolute treat, brought back to mind by a small event at Gosh! comics in London where he’ll be chatting to Steven Appleby as part of the Comica festival tonight.
