Work in Progress: the DIY zine from Swedish Studio Reko

Date
2 June 2015

Studio Reko is the joint venture of Swedish graphic designers Ludwig Mattsson and Frans Wiklund. Together these two have pooled their talents in the realms of typography and print design to create Work in Progress, a zine compiling their favourites from a vast archive of found imagery they use as daily inspiration. Ludwig and Frans are both students of Forsbergs Skola in Stockholm – the city’s first institution to offer a course entirely devoted to graphic design – and also curate a Tumblr of their weird and wonderful findings. Playing on the idea of unknown sources, the all red, black and white first issue of Work in Progress features synonyms for anonymity as well as quotes from Aldous Huxley all printed in a bespoke typeface, and has already sold out.
