Lesotho
There are a lot of people that forget about the little mountainous country in the middle of South Africa called Lesotho so I thought I would give this landlocked state a little World Cup post.
It seemed only right to have a South African guest post in the week leading up to the World Cup so we’re pleased to welcome Conor Cronin to the plate. Born and bread in Johannesburg, Conor and his family moved to Ireland in his early teens and later studied Visual Communications at the National college of Art and Design in Dublin.
Since graduating Conor has traveled across Europe working in various studios and agencies such as Matte in Amsterdam, Albert Folch, Base Design Barcelona, ODD in London and now back in Barcelona with SCPF*.
Looking forward to Sonar

Of course especially my erasmus at Willem de Kooning Academie, Rotterdam in Netherlands, it was the first time I was introduced to Mainland Europe Design & typographic treatment. Moreover education should never end, I would like to study a Masters in typography some time in the future.
Like Andy Warhol said, “I never read. I just look at pictures.”

As well as his track record for pulling politically charged art stunts, performance artist-turned designer Peet Pienaar is also acquiring a reputation for creating some of the most innovative magazines and outrageous editorials. Pienaar has recently launched MK Bruce Lee, a magazine commissioned by dStv, a music channel in the designer’s native South Africa.

Only four days until the start of the World Cup so I thought I should post something about the history of World Cup logos. I am not the biggest fan of the SA 2010 logo however at least it resembles bushman rock paintings. Come on Bafana bafana!
